The Editorial Team of Design Journal would like to inform you that the submission and editorial processing for Volume 4, Issue 2, 2026, July has officially been closed. Manuscripts that have completed the editorial, review, revision, and acceptance stages will continue to be processed according to the journal’s publication procedures. For authors whose manuscripts have been accepted for this issue, the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) and/or Publication Certificate will be sent gradually through the journal’s official communication channels, including the OJS platform, email, or the available administrative contact.
The Editorial Team of Design Journal sincerely apologizes to all authors, reviewers, and readers for the delay in the publication process of Volume 4, Issue 2, 2026, July.
The delay was caused by technical disruptions in the journal system, including a security incident on the journal website platform involving unauthorized access/defacement. This condition required system recovery, data validation, metadata integrity checks, security strengthening, and several technical adjustments to the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
As part of the recovery process and system governance improvement, the journal management has carried out several actions, including:
- restoring website access and journal system functionality;
- checking the integrity of article data and metadata;
- revalidating submission, author, reviewer, and editor data;
- strengthening system security and server configuration;
- adjusting the website appearance, information structure, and several supporting features;
- reviewing the editorial workflow to ensure that the publication process continues to meet journal standards.
We understand that this delay may have caused inconvenience to authors and related parties. However, these measures were necessary to ensure that the publication process remains secure, valid, transparent, and aligned with the principles of scholarly journal governance.
Submissions for the next issue will reopen in October 2026. Further information regarding the submission schedule, author guidelines, publication ethics, publication fees, and other publication requirements will be announced through the official Design Journal website: https://journal.ypmma.org/dj/index
