The Library Volunteers (LiVo) program is one of the flagship innovations developed by the Sukma Bangsa Lhokseumawe School Library to support the School Literacy Movement (GLS) as mandated by Ministry of Education and Culture Regulation No. 21 of 2015. This program aims to build a literacy community that directly involves students as agents of change in fostering a reading culture within the school environment. LiVo is designed to serve as a collaborative platform between librarians, teachers, and students in developing various relevant and engaging literacy activities. The primary target for LiVo recruitment is grade X students, who are considered psychologically and academically ready to manage information independently. The recruitment process is carried out systematically through stages of socialization, selection, announcement, inauguration, and specialized training for new members. In its implementation, LiVo not only assists in library management but also actively initiates various literacy programs such as book discussions, academic writing, and digital literacy campaigns. This Best Practice writing aims to describe in detail the stages of LiVo program implementation and demonstrate its positive impact on increasing students' reading interest and literacy participation. It is expected that this practice can be replicated in other schools as a model for community-based literacy empowerment.
