Publication Ethics
All journals under the YPMMA portal are committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics in accordance with the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The following principles apply to all parties involved — authors, reviewers, and editors.
- Submit only original, unpublished work
- Declare all conflicts of interest
- Ensure accurate authorship and contributions
- Obtain permissions for third-party materials
- Report errors or inaccuracies promptly
- Provide objective, constructive feedback
- Maintain confidentiality of manuscripts
- Declare conflicts of interest
- Complete reviews within agreed timeframe
- Avoid using unpublished ideas from submissions
- Evaluate manuscripts fairly and impartially
- Maintain confidentiality of submissions
- Disclose and manage conflicts of interest
- Ensure integrity of the peer review process
- Act on misconduct reports appropriately
All submissions are screened using iThenticate, Turnitin, and Copyleaks prior to peer review. Manuscripts with similarity above the acceptable threshold will be returned without review.
Authors must disclose any use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly AI) in the Acknowledgements section. AI tools may not be listed as authors. Undisclosed AI use constitutes a breach of publication ethics.
Published articles found to contain significant errors, fabricated data, or ethical violations may be corrected, retracted, or have an expression of concern issued, following COPE retraction guidelines.
Any suspected misconduct — including plagiarism, data fabrication, or authorship disputes — can be reported confidentially to the editorial team. All reports are handled seriously and in accordance with COPE flowcharts.
