Abstract

The utilization of Virtual Reality (VR) technology in pharmaceutical education represents a significant innovation in enhancing students’ understanding of pharmaceutics concepts. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of using VR as an interactive learning medium in pharmaceutics courses for pharmacy professional students. A quasi-experimental method was employed with two groups: one using conventional learning and the other utilizing VR technology. The results showed that students who learned using VR demonstrated higher levels of comprehension and material retention compared to the control group. Moreover, students expressed greater learning interest and a more immersive educational experience. It can be concluded that VR technology has the potential to serve as an effective and innovative learning medium in pharmaceutical education, particularly in pharmaceutics laboratory practices.
